Easter (Pasqua) lunch was at David's parents house. There was 11 of us, and his mother cooked the whole meal. Of course I totally forgot about taking pictures of the food, this should not be much of a surprise by now. But I can describe the menu, and show you pictures of our two hour digestive walk afterwards.
Anti Pasto was an assortment of cheeses, breads and meats. We had two Primi Piatti; Gnocchi al Semolino (This is similar to polenta) and Cappelletti in sugo di carne (like tortellini with a meat sauce). Then two Secondi Piatti; Pollo in padella con piselli (roasted chicken with peas), Agnello fritto, and Carciofi fritti (fried lamb and fried artichokes). For dessert we had a traditional chocolate egg that you smash and has a prize inside, Pizza di Pasqua (a sweet bread only found in this region of Itlay), and cut strawberries with sugar and lemon. It was all amazing!!!!!
