Vacanza, Trani

The last stop of our vacation was Trani. Here we got to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, so it was an extra special part of our vacation. Trani is a beautiful town, right on a harbor in northern Puglia. At one point Trani was one of the most important trading points in Italy next to Venice. It is full of narrow alleys, white stone buildings and streets. The harbor is busy at night, lined with bars and restaurants.

We celebrated our anniversary, the night before the actual date. That was better than on the 5 hour car ride home. We had a wonderful dinner which was an enormous assortment of appetizers. Afterwards we walk along the harbor and stopped in a bar with great outdoor seating. There we had a glass of champagne and dessert when the clock struck midnight. The next day before we headed home we watched a bride walking into the amazing and gigantic cathedral (very symbolic).
